A lot of plants are grown from seed. The seeds are taken out of our own collection of plants.

Further, these seeds are sown and germinated in laboratories.

After the seeds are germinated and grown, the seedlings return to the nursery.

Next, the seedlings are grown into flowering plants in a period of several years

Especially when one is looking at the phalaenopsis-hybrids, many species are 'meristemed'. This means that the plant is duplicated by cell division.

A great advantage of this method is that the seedlings are identical to the motherplant.

Because Klinge orchids has a large collection of botanic orchids at it's disposal, especially paphiopedilum and phragmipedium, it is possible to offer a constant and large range of plants of these species but also primairy breedings.
